| I grew up in Neillsville Wisconsin, a quiet town
of just under 3,000 people, home of the world's largest talking
cow and the semi that hauled the world's largest brick of cheese.
I spent the 1970's in college, and eventually received a BS
with a major in Physics and a minor in Art.
My first real job was with the Physics Department of the University
of Wisconsin. For 6 years I was responsible for the
care and feeding of a vintage 1950's nuclear accelerator.
From there I went on to spend 6 years as a Software Engineer
at Noran Instruments, and then 6 years (is there a pattern
here?) as Marketing Communications Manager and Webmaster
for Heurikon Corporation now known as Emerson
Embedded Computing.
My hobby is music. Over the past 20 years I have played
guitar and Dobro in various bands around Madison, including
The Black River Ramblers (with Dennis
Lee), Stone Soup, KG & The
Ranger, Good at Any Speed, Rosewood Moct and The Back
40s. I'm currently playing dobro in Buried Root, and pedal
steel guitar in Danny
Paris and the 'Shiners.
In 2002 I moved to Fort
Atkinson, Wisconsin, where I currently live with my
wife Jill Kessenich and
our dog Chase.
